Watashitachi-Nous (2011) Paris
"We" begins with a meeting between Anne Figoni, French, living in Tokyo and Miki Nitadori, Japanese, living in Paris. An exchange, a meeting, a sharing of experience, images that shake us up and ask us about "Us", our relationship to the Other... Oh! You and me? Really?
Touched by the tragedy that struck Japan on March 11th, we are organizing a photographic exhibition/sale and meetings from June 17th to 26th 2011 in Paris. Opening: Friday, June 17th from 6pm All profits will be donated to the NPO arts organization which supports artists and arts associations in the Northeast of Japan. Presentation
On March 11, 2011, Japan was hit by the largest earthquake in its history. Touched by this tragedy of a considerable scale, we wish to contribute to the international solidarity movement set up to help the victims of the country of the rising sun.
Our action consists in organizing a photographic exhibition and meetings through the arts. The totality of the profits will be given to the organization Aide NPO Arts which supports the artists and associations of the arts of the northeast of Japan.
A meeting and activities through the arts, so that everyone can find their way to support Japan.
Our goals:
The realization of this event was only possible thanks to the art dealers Csaba Morocz and Bernard Dudoignon, photography, artists, speakers and animators who generously accepted to participate in our action. We would like to thank them.
We also thank the city hall of the 9th district of Paris.

Our goals:
- to celebrate our connection to each other with photographers and live performances
- to rebuild through words and exchange around round table meetings to better understand and think our world of today and tomorrow. A meeting towards action
- build a bridge between cultures through encounters in the arts (demonstration, workshop and conference on butoh dance, initiation to haiku writing, Japanese tales...) and fun activities for children (Japanese tale and initiation to origami)
- to collect funds through the sale of photographic works and other creations. A "donation box" will be available for visitors and participants of the activities.
