One boy and twenty girls (2008)
After a solo exhibition at Mac Creteil between 2008- 2009, the structure proposed that I work with their local high school, the Lycee Johannes Gutenberg. They gave me this opportunity because I desired a change in my work. Wow, it was an experience!
The students were studying to become a caregiver, nurses, etc. Many of them were very nice to me, yet it was chaos. In the class there was an incident of girl's physical fight. The irony was I liked both of these girls because I found them both brilliant in my work. I was new to this kind of work. I still needed to learn how to run the workshop smoothly. It felt like these young women and a boy was my adoptive brother and sisters. In a way, they adopted me into this big family. Humanly, I enjoyed being somewhere almost like their class mascot. I remember to this day why the boy wanted to get into his profession. He had lost his father; therefore, he wished to help the others who were sick. Some girls, conscious of their appearance, only decided to participate as shadows.
