PARTICIPATE & PERFORM
performance
In 2008, I began my participative performances with Combat in Progress, involving 108 participants who contributed through hand gestures and their presence. This project marked a shift in my approach, prompting me to question the role of materiality, consumerism, and accumulation in art.
After Combat in Progress, I spent two years focusing on creating performance pieces. One such piece, Timeless Hugs in Unit MNR, explored limits and trust through the physical presence of another. Over time, my work evolved, often in collaboration with others, delving into themes of questioning humility, human connection, and how we can live together.
