Since November, we have began our research at Mac Val. Now we are inviting people who would like to experience this part of research. the details are following.
Currently I am working with my partner on a project that questions " Violence & limits" which began when the first terrorism happened in Paris last year.
We have been questioning about the relationship between ourselves and others. Our work consist on inviting a person that we never met and proposing a simple act of " hugging" in a museum ( at this time) for the time that takes. ( usually about 20 mins and +) This act is non-sexual yet physically intimate.
We realized that violence today is a social act which is huge that small violence does not have any effect any longer.
Last years during the two terrorism, we observe that people were more afraid of each other.... we get in touch easily online but not in real encounter.
-We are questioning, can we encounter people for the first time by hugging a person timelessly without any purpose or goal?
-We are also questioning our link to one another, how close can we get to another person that we do not know and share an experience via physical contact that is non sexual?
Currently we have an oppertunity to work in Mac Val ( contemporary art museum) and we would like to share this experience of timeless hug with you.
Would you be interested in participating in our project?
