In 2004, I began to work on a idea to use window and writing in one of the first shows of Combat in a small kitchen at chantier ducreux, Creteil. .
Since last year, i have been preoccupied by the idea of showing combat in this way, Combat is a work that represent people in their living context (printed textiles.) with private space ( black mass) and I think it makes sense to show this work in public space on the widow to represent the same idea. During this residency, I became interested in this space "Les halles" which had 2 transparent entry that resembled winter garden. The place is a located in between the academic and technical class rooms. I have been speaking with a teacher of electric department,Mr Multon about how we are in the area |
where we are less manual and how this knowledge will be valued in the future.
I thought it was interesting to over lap the idea of our discussion and the work in the space where it bridges the cerebral and the manual activity. This work already plays with the idea of technical manual: visual manual of daily survival. To give an idea of gigantic book, I decided to write the title in the front entrance. Representing the combat images of the students on the same surface made the class photo that communicate that their presence and affirmation towards their existence is essential to the a place. |

during the residency. Exterior of the cube is covered by extract of photographs.
